September Mini-Seminars at Rebuilding Information Station

A series of mini-seminars has been scheduled for September at the Rebuilding Information Station (RIS) in New Orleans.

The RIS is located in the Center for Energy Resource Management Building at the UNO Research and Technology Park at 2045 Lakeshore Drive, Suite 103. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Seminars by the LSU AgCenter's Disaster Recovery and Mitigation Unit will be conducted from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in September on the following dates:

  • Sept. 2, protecting windows and doors
  • Sept. 9, hurricane-resistant landscaping
  • Sept. 16, termites in Louisiana homes
  • Sept. 23, keep the water out: window and door flashing
  • Sept. 30, dry and durable walls: rebuilding tips for homeowners
